Continuing the marketing voyage with my latest book, Silenced, I’ll be making an appearance at Stacks Book Club Oro Valley Friday, May 15, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. This is the first time I’ve ventured behind the Tucson Festival of Books, so if you happen to be in the greater Tucson area, swing by and pick up a brand new hardcover version of Silenced. I absolutely love getting a chance to talk to readers in person, and this book store is a wonderfully intimate space to do just that; there will be other authors there as well, covering a wide variety of genres. With any luck, I’ll come away with some new titles myself — and maybe a new author friend or two.

Silenced has been doing fairly well so far this year; as part of my work in the next one in the series, I’ve been re-reading portions of it to make sure some of my through lines have remained intact. It also gives me a chance to ensure that where we find Sean at the beginning of Aftermath aligns with how we left him when Vasily departed Orlando. So far, so good on both counts.

This is also a backhanded way of hinting that work is well underway on Bliss; as of this writing, I’m about halfway through the story and things are perking along quite nicely. Which, of course, means there’s a curveball on the way for sure. You just never know when it comes to these characters…
